Question

I have a question regarding the novel: I've looked through it several times and I cannot find out what happens to Clopin. Does he die? How does he die?

The reason I ask this is because in 2007 I'm going to be making a short film that is adapted from the novel faithfully

I'm not sure. After all the gypsies (sp???) enter the church/cathedral/w/e you want to call it, Quasimodo pours hot lead into the gargoyles that usually spew out water. A lot of the gypsies die because of that, and/or they leave with serious injuries.

I'm not psycho, just a little loopy...

You are planning to make a faithful film adaptation about a book You have not actually read??? Sounds slightly weird. Just read the book! Believe me, it's worth it...

By the way, Clopin does indeed die in the novel. He was amongst the surviving beggars after the failed attack against Notre Dame, busy cutting the feet of the charging King's horses with his scythe, when he was hit by an arquebus shot and killed on the spot.
