uncut version

does anyone have a copy of the uncut 150 minute version originally televised in 1982 ? the only released version is missing 48 minutes! email me at [email protected] if you do.

its possible that the longer running time was taken from a time slot including adverts, seeing as this is a TV movie.

i am just guessing tho.

That sounds right, but 48 minutes of commercials on just over 2 hours? Sounds like MTV.

actually it was cut out, I have seen the longer version as a kid... and later saw the normal one...

many scenes were cut out, just like SOS Titanic (40 mins. were cut out!)

The only scene that I remember actually watching that has been cut out of subsequent releases, is a scene where Frollo and other monks are standing alongside the edge of the Seine talking, and behind them is a matte painting of the Cathedral added as a special effect.

On the VHS/burned DVD that I own there are other weird jump cuts between scenes that make me think this film might have been longer.

I would really like to get a copy of this, is there any way that i can get one from you?

reply

I have it on VHS- but it's only an hour and 40 minutes or so.

Chipsteak, if if the original running time was 150 minutes, that'd be a version w/out commercials--adverts. W/adverts, they show at 90 minutes or 120, etc--always multiples of 30.
