Other 'Alien' Rip-offs?

I am aware of "Inseminoid", "Galaxy of Terror", "Creature", and "Alien Contamination". Any other sci-fi flicks of the eighties that were directly inspired by Ridley Scott's "Alien"?

Try "Forbidden World"

Nightflyers, within the rock(early 90s), star crystal(pretty poor but worth a laugh), creepozoids, killings at outpost zeta, leviathan.

If you think of any others, please let me know. I'm always on the lookout for more of these gems 8)

"Dead Space"

"Galaxy of Terror" with Sid Haig and Robert Englund.
"Creature" with Klaus Kinski.
"Shocking Dark" by Bruno Mattei.

The Intruder Within is a good one.
Deepstar Six is very solid.
Leviathan is a mixture of Alien and The Thing.
Creepozoids is pure crap.

Carnosaur. I know it's a dinosaur flick, but they come out of people like in Alien.

Alien Predators (AKA: The Falling)

Xtro 2: The Second Encounter

Be sure to check out Italians, they had plenty of Alien ripoffs.

Some others not already mentioned:

Dark Universe (1993)

Within the Rock (1996)

Not of This World (1991) (should not be mistaken with 2 or 3 Corman movies of the same title)

Syngenor (1990)
Scared to Death (1981)

Mutant (1984)

Alien 3000 (aka Unseen Evil... This one is pretty bad and not fun at all, so watch out... Oh it has Xenomorph-looking clone mixed with Predator high techs & cloaking guarding some treasure in a cave. Oh and alien has a sword. Don't ask. I said it's quite terrible. You would think with description like this it would be bad but fun, but nope, it's quite dull and painfully boring. You'll need to take something to enjoy this one.)

Parasite (1982) (It's first starring role for Demi Moore, you can't miss it. Full Moon production)

The Deadly Spawn (1983) - this one is actually quite fun.

The Terror Withing 1 & 2 -

1995's Proteus has sort of that 'Alien'/'Aliens' feel to it. I know it's not technically an 80s film, but it does seem like something that would've come out around that time.

Hi folks,
just watched "Mutant" (1984, part of a multi-disc set by Mill Creek called Pure Terror) which isn't a really bad movie - I found it quite good, in fact; and here we have got a classic example of shamelessly capitalizing on a REALLY great movie's commercial success: Some (though not all) DVD editions and the original VHS cassette cover both had a creature on it which looks pretty much like the original "Alien" (although the movie hasn't anything to do with aliens of whatever shape and size). I really wonder how the company which made "Mutant" got away with it, instead of getting sued ;-)
I know this is not exactly what the OP was searching for, but I found it still worth mentioning.
