Also, I found the DVD cover preferable to the video's cover. The video's cover made you think it was a direct to video film from the glut of the 1990's. The DVD cover makes you think its a character driven, gritty, neo-noir film from the late 1970's or early 1980's.

Not in the US.

It's Region 2, so some of us are out of luck. I'll have to rely on my VHS tape for a while.

Or if you could put it on Region 1 or 0, and sell it on ebay.

(I don't believe that it's copy-right infringement, since it is not available in those formats, to the US market).

reply

Yes it IS copyright infringement as only the production company own the copyright.

Now, in the UK most dvd players will play all regions(Or can be hacked to) and certainly NTSC as the brits have been bringing back ntsc vhs/dvd for decades.

A lot of North American dvd players will play pal and all regions, Philips for one, and many of the Wal mart special chinese players.

reply

Yeah, thanks.

That would've sucked if someone had taken my word for it, and had made me the DVD.

Thanks.

I just bought a DVD recorder, and put my VHS version on disk. Not very sophisticated - but apparently equal to what's available (in the UK) for now.
