I don't know if this has been mentioned but the title character in the new Michael Caine film Harry Brown is also a former SAS veteran of Northern Ireland.
It's either a big coincidence, a direct homage or accidental plagiarism.
Coincidence. Harry from this series was actually Irish.

Great Tv Drama, particularly the last episode, really had me on the edge of the seat not knowing what was going to happen, nice closing soundtrack at the end of each ep too.

Harry Brown is a former Royal Marine NCO, not a former SAS soldier.
As an ex-Royal Marine if he did join a special forces unit he would have been in the SBS,and not the SAS.
