Michael could take Johnny any day...

One thing I don't get is why Michael didn't stand up to Johnny. He wasn't a nerd, he was just smart. He's British and most British lads in the 60s kept fit by boxing so I reckon he could handle himself in a brawl. He was also much bigger than Johnny, who in truth was a coward. Goose would be an equal match but Johnny would back down when the sleeves we rolled up.

Johnny only acted tough when the other T-Birds were with him and when Balmudo showed up he lost his bottle.

Michael could've easily battered him if it were a one-on-one.

Agreed. You read my mind. You saw how fast the so-called T-Birds in this ran from Balmudo and his crew. The T-Birds in the original were actually tough and weren't afraid of anyone. Johnny, Goose, Louis and Davey were fake T-Birds. Fake tough guys.

I know, right. Danny and his crew were the real deal in the first movie. As much as I like the second movie the so-called 'tough guys' were laughable.

I see this comment a lot. Danny and Kenickie were big dudes, seemed tough, but Sonny, Doody and Putzie? Come on.

When I first saw the title of this post, I was thinking the post was about Michael versus Johnny from the Karate Kid. I was just on that board lol. He would take anyone in the movie.
