The reason I like Grease 2..

When I was young my family knew Grease 1.. it was one of those movies we grew up watching. Grease 2 had a new cast and was seen as being worse, almost like a joke.

As I got older I started to understand it's humour and started to judge it separately.

And then when I got even older, I started to realise how ridiculous the first movie was (despite a great cast), and how lame it was. It's still got a certain charm to it but it was hard to see it in the same way.

Grease 2 is so over the top, but it isn't TRYING to be taken seriously. It's so bad, that it's actually good. In a way I actually find it more realistic in terms of how immature the characters are and how many sleezy sex jokes and corny songs they can cram in. The whole thing is ridiculous but in a likable and funny way.

These days, I'd say Grease 2 is better. It's actually very witty and funny, as long as you don't take it too seriously.
