Where are the great Canadian horror DVDs?

C'mon distributors, we've waited long enough...It's time to release three of Canada's best horror films on DVD in widescreen format: FUNERAL HOME, CURTAINS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. Perhaps they could be marketed together as a Lesleh Donaldson collection. This underrated actress deserves recognition for her contribution to the genre.

watched FUNERAL HOME last night and you were right...it was good. I just won CURTAINS in an eBay auction so hopefully will get to see that this week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

That's all ready on DVD now.

FUNERAL HOME

Apparently this title is involved in a 50 Film DVD Collection, 50 CHILLING HORROR MOVIES COLLECTION, which is out and very cheap. eBay has it for around 20 bucks or less, and other films are in it BAD TASTE, DRILLER KILLER, A BUCKET OF BLOOD, and DEADTIME STORIES

The best way to buy FUNERAL HOME (if you like the movie) is the old Paragon Video Productions release from 1983. FUNERAL HOME was also released on Vogue Video from Canada -- but the Paragon picture quality was better. (I know because I've owned both videos. I traded the Vogue Video and kept the Paragon tape).

The DVD "master" from the '50 Film DVD Collection' no doubt was either an old Paragon tape or an old Vogue videocassette.

Hey, whats going on with CURTAINS? Is that EVER getting the DVD treatment? I watched it a few years back on VHS and would like to see it again!

The legendary Barry Morse was in this movie for about 15 minutes.
