DVD

When is the DVD coming out?

It is one of the worst looking/sounding dvds i have ever came in contact with.

And not many special features considering it is a Troma released film.

I agree...very disappointing! However, deepdiscountdvd.com shows that a movie titled "Frightmare" is being released on DVD in May, 2006. Maybe this will be a better transfer of the film if it is indeed the same "Frightmare" and not another movie altogether.

I AGREE the Troma release is bad ,poor video levels ,blurry and dull color ,the audio levels are too low ..and if you watch there are video glitches ! it looks like TROMA dubbed it off The VESTRON VHS TAPE version

I own it on DVD under the English title "Body Snatchers" (and it's not a copy). Found it on Ebay for only £0.50

Gee they're good at playing dead, aren't they?

Don't bother with the shockingly subpar Troma DVD of this film unless you get it cheap. I paid only five bucks for a used copy, which is about all it's worth. The audio and visual quality are both quite bad.

I know this is not a DVD but . . . not sure where you are but I rented Frightmare from Audio/Video Plus in Houston, Texas. They have almost 7,000 VHS titles for rent (5 for $5 for a week) with an amazing selection of out of print and hard to find titles, especially cult and underground horror, fantasy and sci-fi but they also have art house and other types.

No, I don't work there and this is not a paid plug. As a lover of movies, good and bad, I rent 5 or more a week from them. I highly recommend it to anyone in Houston. This place is what a video store used to be and ought to still be!

I agree with others on the quality of the Troma DVD: subpar video, really bad audio. I had my volume cranked all the way up, and still couldn't make out some of the dialogue. Fortunately I didn't pay very much for it.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

Vinegar Syndrome re-released this film on both DVD and Blu-ray. It's a beautiful quality HD transfer done from the 35mm camera negative.
