If she was pregnant, why would she even flirt with the idea of drinking a beer? Yet, she wouldn't eat raw cannabis, which wouldn't harm her in any way. Good old 80s I guess.

The writers writing the scene like that only makes sense because her character is pregnant. They just had sex and she probably wasn't thinking when she told him to get her one. Different situation than being in a van and stopping a bunch of times to use the bathroom.
