A great movie for action lovers

I loved this movie, but then I love just about all of Chuck Norris's movies! I always wondered why they didn't make a 2nd movie of Silent Rage, that guy just wouldn't die. All his movies have plenty of action and some comedy. I don't think there is a movie that I didn't like that has Chuck as the staring person. I am still waiting impatiently for it to be released on dvd.

Of the 12 Norris films I have seen, I rate this as his worst. The action scenes are poorly executed and the direction is flat, boring and lifeless. You would think for a Hong Kong set action feature, it would have some pizazz. The only stylish fight scene, was a silhouetted fight against red neon, which was used over the opening credits in slo-mo and then repeated again normal speed later on in the film. Was this the best they could do, so they had to pretend what we were in for, from the start.

The death of Sam and his son, which initially was to spark Chuckie's retribution, had no impact, due to the weak direction and editing. This should have been a major scene of impact in the film. The violence is cheesy and there are plenty of howlers in the dialogue. Watch SILENT RAGE-82' instead.......arguably one of Chuck's best.

I thought Forced Vengeance was a pretty good movie, and I find it interesting
how people view certain movies, or tv shows.
I guess this is what makes the world go around, different strokes for different
folks. Some people are harder to please than others.
Everything in life is not black and white.
It is interesting what people are looking for to regard as good directing, great
acting, and etc. This could relate to perception also, like some people notice
certain things easier, or faster.
If I think about it, How many movies, tv shows, actors, and etc. are really good, or great? No doubt, some have been and are, again, this is taste, and
opinion, and often times we do not use exact words, like some movies, actors,
and etc. might really be good instead of great, or vice-versa.
A minister I talked to, said acting is like playing, Cowboys and Indians, I think he made a good interesting point.
Please reply if possible,
Sincerely, Colley.

When watching a Chuck Norris film I make allowances, as most are low budget B' graders and I watch them for entertainment value and usually know what to expect. The first Norris film I saw was 'Silent Rage'82', when first released and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Being a horror ghoul, I didn't expect the film to have as strong a horror element as it did and it delivered the goods as both an action film and horror film. I don't think I saw 'Forced Vengeance', until over a year later as the first feature on a double bill. I may have seen a couple of other earlier Norris films on VHS prior and was pretty blah about those.

Having watched many films, I also make comparisons to other similar films of an era and 'Forced Vengeance', just didn't rock my boat. It was well intentioned; but I found it poorly executed compared to other and later Norris films and other action\martial arts films.

Have not seen any 70's Norris, apart from his appearance in 'Way Of The Dragon".

What aspects of FV did you enjoy?
