Anyone ever feel sorry for Molly being exploited by Fitz?

Molly fully in love with Fitz and never hesitated to support him in any way possible, but I have this funny feeling that despite Fitz also adores her but he seems kinda exploiting her situation into his own benefit.

What I can't stand when finally Fit's rubber ambition has gone all the way wrong, don't you think the money from reselling the ship should be returned back to Molly rather than providing a velvet chair for a pig, a new suit, a best cigar and a group of opera orchestra? geez...

Yeah. It kinks the film for me. If he blew his own money it would be fine but he goes balls out on his girlfriend's dime, who's just given him all her savings. Even that would be ok if we don't see this triumphant shot of him on the paddle steamer with this *beep* eating grin while she cheers from shoreline.

I have to return some videotapes.
