The Sheriff states: ""Why don't you go out there and take a look at what's left of my men? You'll see how motivated I am, Dave, and if that doesn't do it for you why don't you go have a talk with Art Galt's widow?"
So speaking of Art Galt's widow, if John Rambo had something to say to her, how about this statement: "Mrs. Galt, there is no need to thank me for setting you free from your idiotic, abusive husband. It was all my pleasure."
Excellent response!! I know the type of man he is...so I'm thinking everyone was hurt by his dying, but they probably felt a little relieved that they didn't have to put up with him at the office anymore.

But in all fairness, Gault didn't transform into the king of tools until enduring Rambo's disobedience while being booked (fair or not) and after he kicked the beejeesus out of all the deputies saving his best attack on Galt himself.
