this was bad.

in the end i had to fast forward,because... this is a seriously bad movie.

Ahh, don't be so harsh. Then again, you do have a fair point and I say that as someone who quite likes the film :-)

It's sort of a stretched episode of The Professionals with plenty of 70's TV action clichés but I do think it's one of the best pops at showing special forces in action. Unfortunately those bits only account for about 20 mins, leaving quite a bit of time for a seriously dodgy plot to try and fill...!

Do be so silly. It's a cracking movie which was inspired by a real life incident. And another thing steven Spielberg and Stanley Kubrick both praised this film when it was released. Their credentials make your point moot I'm afraid.

If you take the movie in the context of the time i.e during the Cold war and nuclear disarmament then it stands up.

It doesn't fair so well now as we don't live in them times, otherwise it is a cracking film.
