Judge Reinhold was doing pretty good in the 80s but faded afterwards.
shareForest Whitaker has done very well for himself since and is even still appearing in recent films, like Rogue One and Black Panther.
Anthony Edwards also had a very successful career: movies like Top Gun and Revenge of the Nerds and TV series like E.R. and, recently, Designated Survivor.
Both had small roles in Fast Times, but certainly had very successful careers afterwards.
Really? Sean Penn has won two Oscars and is still a heavy hollywood hitter...Nicolas Cage does direct to DVD movies now.

I would listen to an argument for Forrest Whitaker, but probably wouldn't agree.
Anthony Edwards had a fantastic career. Jennifer Jason Leigh was huge for awhile, and even recently popped back up in The Hateful Eight.
Nicolas Cage of course got huge by the end of the 80's and was an A-list star thru the 90's, including an Oscar. But that quickly faded, and now he's kind of a joke.
Phoebe Cates, and Judge Reinhold and some hits after this, but neither really made past the 80's.
Phoebe gor married and had kids and opted out of the spotlight.
I won't count Cage since he's hardly in this movie.
I'd go with Sean Penn 1 and JJL 2.
JJL has been pretty steady with work and yeah maybe she hasn't been an A lister but she had a huge part in Annihilation and a huge role in The Jacket
What's Sean Penn done lately? Name 10 Sean Penn movies -- you can't, they're boring. Penn's a great actor, but Nicholas Cage is working all the time, and making movies people watch.

I've never even heard of Nicholas Cage's last 19 movies. While it is still impressive how many movies he's taken a pay check for, I think we still have to consider quality over quantity at some point.
What was the one where he played Christopher Walken’s son? Now that was a movie.
At Close Range was the name of it.
The majority of the cast has had successful carrers.
The most memorable character was of course Spicoli.... "Dude that was my skull!"
