shareI have an original VHS tape of "LE DEMON DANS L'ILE". It's a Japanese release from DAIEI VIDEO in French with little Japanese subtitles. The ironic thing is I can't speak French or read Japanese but the movie appears to never have had an English audio track made so you take what you can find and do the best you can to follow the action.
Besides, the Japanese box art is very eye-catching.

Just got an English fansubbed copy from a French TV broadcast. Not watched it yet but it's out there if you dig.
Update - It's a highly creepy movie with small but effective gore effects. The story really unfolds in a way that allows you to forgive the conciet of inanimate objects attacking people and a weird and scary atmosphere builds steadily through the film. It's paced like a body-count movie but still remains very French and eclectic. Not bad for a pornographer eh?
