House Number

Forgive me if this has been discussed. Did anyone notice that the house number is 13666? Do you think that this was added for additional creepiness, or do you think that the house itself was evil -- preying upon the fears, guilt and weaknesses of its inhabitants? That could explain why Jennifer manifested herself at this point and time, and not earlier.

Also, in another post on this movie, someone said that Mary just stood in the house toward the end because she was a little girl, unable to comprehend what was going on or what to do. That sounds plausible. However, I would have thought that Jennifer would have prompted her to do something, since she was able to fill Mary head with psychological terms and an understanding of what the psychiatrist was saying during those visits.

Regardless, I liked the movie, despite how hateful family members seem to be toward each other...that was probably the pain and guilt from Jennifer's death manifesting itself, though.

Hi,
I think it was meant to add creepiness and nothing more. There is nothing to suggest that something was attached to the house itself.

They showed the house number several times. I think it was deliberate.
