Bergman film

Anyone know what Bergman film that Eddie and Billy are watching in theater? It might've been on the marquee, but I haven't seen the movie in a while and I don't own a copy.

The Seventh Seal, aka Bergman's most popular and iconic film.

Gotcha! Thanks a bunch.

The most famous scene of "The Seventh Seal" is when Death (Bengt Ekerot) plays chess with a medieval knight(played by Bergman regular Max von Sydow)who has returned from the Crusades. If Death wins, he takes the knight's life. So now you know why Eddie in "Diner" was complaining about Death walking around on a beach.

I wonder how many people who watch the Stephen Colbert cheating death segments get the connection.

I've been to Atlantic City 1000 times, never seen death on a beach.
