Dyan Cannon!

I think she was hilarious and likeable in a pathetic way... and before people start saying she was annoying, well, she was supposed to be whiney. I felt so bad for her character; it's a compelling performance that definitely didn't deserve the Razzie nomination she got. However, even though the Razzies sometimes get it right when they give it to talentless scumbags like Paris Hilton, they've nominated some great people, especially in the 80s (for instance, Stanley Kubrick was nominated as worst director for "The Shining" - WTF?).

i couldnt stop laughing when she kept on screaming!

She's awesome in this.
If they gave her a Razzie, they were way off the mark.

She played the character superbly. I couldn't wait for her to die and stop annoying me.

Geniuses are never appreciated in their own time.

I've seen this film many times and Dyan Cannon's performance has never hit a sour note with me. She acts exactly like what a skittish woman with a heart condition would act like.

I just finished the film and thought her performance was the best in the film. She was likable and yes the screaming was a bit much but once I understood that as a character trait, I was firmly on board.

I've just rewatched this, and thought her performance was spot on. Great blend between being zany, irritating and very funny. I loved her screams, but I also loved her laugh.

To my mind, the Razzies get it ridiculously wrong even more than the Oscars do.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Man she was annoying in this movie. She deserved the raspberry award. Movie was so much better once she was dead.

I barely remember the wife in the play - I think her part is bigger in the film though I could be wrong.

I saw it on Broadway with John Wood and he totally dominated the thing from start to finish.
