A great whodunnit

This is a fantastic and suspenseful movie, great performances, beautifully directed, and just incredibly well made.

Yep I loved this movie when I saw it as a kid in the 80s. I have no idea if this is on DVD or not, but I would love to see it again.

Just bought it on Amazon from an individual for $3.00 (including shipping).

Yeah, I just watched it tonight for the first time in yonks.

It is very clever (but what else do you expect from Ira Levin? ), and well acted, BUT ... it's ironic that in the movie itself they talk about the play they're writing losing momentum and sagging in the second half, because to my mind that's what the movie does as well. The set-up is much better than the climax and resolution.

Even so, of course, it's better than most attempts at this kind of story.

It's not a whodunnit. It's a who'lldoit. Says so on the cover.

I totally agree with you. It's brilliant.

I agree I liked it a lot

Love this movie. Sadly we live in an age where spoilers are too easily accessed.
This movie needed more attention.

It helps to know how the film ends so one can enjoy the journey more rather than a destination, because at the time people were virtually unable to be spoilt by any information about the films whatsoever, or at least far less, that's why trailers used to reveal so much more. Many people have lost that ability to be in the moment, in the now, and forget what they know or don't know.
