My Death Valley Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack Arrived Today

I pre-ordered it from playstop.ca, and it is here! I don't have Blu-ray, so I didn't watch the Blu-ray, but the DVD looks great. Highly recommended.

Okay. I went over to my friend's house (he has a Blu-ray player) today and watched my Blu-ray of Death Valley. Here are my observations. There were two pieces of dialogue missing from the Blu-ray that I remember from the TV airings on A & E back in the early 90s. Mike mentions how it's a shame that Billy doesn't like him because he really likes Billy, and later when Billy mixes the shampoo and other things in the shower cap to throw into the eyes of Stephen McHattie, he said, "This ought to hurt his eyes." Both of these pieces of dialogue were missing from the Blu-ray. I only saw the very beginning of the DVD when I first got it on the 3rd (the New York scenes), so I cannot say if those pieces of dialogue are missing from the DVD, but since they're missing from the Blu-ray, I figure it's likely they're gone from the DVD, as well.

Other than that, it's great to FINALLY have this movie out on DVD/Blu-ray relatively uncut. I had only ever seen this movie on A & E, so to see the death scenes was cool, although the blood they used was a tad too bright.

jarth , got mine today too,, The missing dialogue you mention was on tbs and A&E Broadcasts of the film which included several scenes to fill in void for the shorter R rating.. so thats possible, The director mentions this in the commentary. Strangley. the guy interviewing the director seems to know more about the film than he does. Found out that film was shot in 1980 and released may of 82. sat for almost 2 years.. If you notice scene in the beginning they are driving past a movie theater with the blue lagoon on it. which was released in summer of 80.. Now. i liked the picture quality of the blu ray. great stuff. and yes, the blood is way too bright red than it should have been. If it was more darker kinda like the original friday the 13th, it would have looked more real.. but a great add to our collections and shout really went out for fans of the movie..
