Coming to blu-ray and DVD next summer

Scream Factory has announced they are gonna do it next year

You killed Captain Clown, YOU KILLED CAPTAIN CLOWN-The Joker on Batman TAS

Sh*t Factory strikes again. Wish those losers would stop getting rights to my favorite movies.

Right, because if SF didn't exist, most of these titles would either still not be released or we would be getting crappy, bare bones MOD editions. The majority of their output has been quality so far, hardly losers. What labels are you championing?

LOL, I agree. Shout Factory seems to be the ONLY ones that care about lesser known horror movies. Many of the companies, if they don't see any potential for profit, just won't even take the chance to acquire the rights of distribution to lesser known movies, which is a big reason that from the VHS days to the DVD/blu-ray, so many titles have slipped through the cracks. They're a god send!

The previous poster must either be a disgruntled, ex-employee of Shout Factory or he/she is just messing with us. SF usually boast solid transfers and excellent supplemental features on their releases. I mean, look at the competition. The current incarnation of Anchor Bay owned by Starz Media? Image? Code Red? Lion's Gate? Scorpion Releasing? All of them pale compared to Scream Factory, as far as horror releases go these days. Blue Underground's modus operandi is European horror; and they only release a handful of titles these days, so I won't include them in this group.

Scream Factory is my favorite, but there are some other great horror and genre Blu-ray releases from other companies as well. Vinegar Syndrome, Severin, Grindhouse Releasing probably put out the best product, but they don't release often enough to really be a household name. Their release of Cannibal Holocaust is a contender for Blu-ray release of the year, though. Also, Gorgon is back, and have already released an awesome Blu-ray of Death Spa, and have plenty of awesome stuff coming. Dark Sky/MPI have been doing some great catalog releases as well, including the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre Blu from the new 4K scan. It's an awesome time to be a genre veteran, but Scream Factory is giving the new generation of horror fans the education they need.
