Blu-ray?

[I searched 3 forum pages for 'blu' and found none]

I read a piece recently on this film and the amount of work that went into it, editing the new and old scenes together, balancing the color, etc. It seems to me that something with this much effort deserves a US Blu-ray, but all I can find are non-Region 1 Blu-rays (and there's no guarantee that it was re-mastered for Blu-ray).

Any news on this? If not, what can we do to get the ball rolling? Surely Reiner would be interested in this, yes?
