why would they make a sequel?

look at all that cast! its crazy to think they going to all that effort to something that was/is still at best a cult movie. they tried the 30y later sequel thing to similar cult 1982 movies - Blade Runner, The Thing and Tron - none of them were hits.. I guess because its Netflix everyone will watch it and they make loads that way?
