What's the picture/sound quality like?! Is it worth me upgrading my DVD copy?!!

I was on the fence too, but when I finally cracked and bought it I simply could not believe how beautiful the picture was. Awesome, simply awesome. Leagues, miles beyond its previous North American DVD. UK Supplements be damned -- no fan (even a marginal fan) should deprive themselves of this treasure.

I just got the blu-ray and it's 10 times better than the
1999 dvd snapcase version I had. Picture and sound
are great and if you're a fan of the film like me, it's
definitely worth it.

Nonetheless, the stereo mix is quite good -- and, more importantly, the original mix, rather than a phony 5.1.

To be fair, I haven't heard the 5.1, so it might be good, but I do know the 2 channel on my blu-ray sounds terrific.
