The zombie voices??

To this day, the voices of the zombies and also mutated Jordy Verrill, are the creepiest horror film voices to date. I have always wondered how they did those voices in post production. Especially recently I wanted to replicate that voice for a short film we just finished. I don't suppose anyone has any insight?

I always thought it was the guy who did Megatron's voice from the Transformers cartoon.

I've always thought that effect was done by gargling water (or some type of liquid) and talking at the same time.

It isn't easy to do and it's also dangerous! So, don't try it at home.
