I saw it 30 years ago on HBO when i was 4 as i watched it with my mom and dad and it what got me into horror.

I remember first seeing Creepshow in late 1983 on HBO when I was 6 and it's one of my favorite movies.

shareSaw this THE WEEK IT OPENED in movie theaters in 1982. Me and my friends LOVED Dawn of the Dead AND loved horror anthologys like Tales From the Crypt, and Vault of Horror (the 1970s movies)
And although I liked it then- I saw it recently and sorry guys--time has not been kind to it. It just comes off as a comedy with no real scares.........UGH. Only the last segment holds up well.........

Yeah I watched it on HBO in the early to mid '80s. Nathan Grantham's corpse used to really scare the crap out of me!

I tried to rent this about 3 times around 1986; my mother kept walking in and was horrified by it, so she made me turn it off. It was a long time before I finished The Crate, which is my favourite segment.
shareMy dad took me and my brother to the now closed, Prospect theatre,on Main st in Flushing, NYC to see this the weekend it opened. It was probably my first R rated movie. I was 12 years old. I loved it. I remember watching it many times on HBO, too, in the early 80s.

shareNot sure when. I was a kid. Got the VHS as a belated Christmas gift from my uncle, whom converted to DVD. Watched it at another uncle's place for a Boxing Day get together. Even ended up watching it again when I got home.
