Erotic thriller, not a horror movie

not sure why this gets labeled as a horror movie when nothing about it, aside from a few scenes of bloody bodies, strikes me as horror. there is more nudity then blood and more emphasis on sexuality then scary stuff.

I think anytime you have humans transforming into blood thirsty animals gives the movie a strong element of horror. IMHO.

That is a possibility but it was not scary as a horror film though.

To you it wasn't scary. Perhaps you like *beep*ing your relatives, lmao!

Speaking of relatives, scary is an extremely relative term, duh!

I agree with you on that. It was more of a erotic thriller with a lot of nudity than anything else.

It's an erotic supernatural thriller with some gory moments. I thought this might make a good Halloween movie but turns out the closest holiday this would be good for is Valentine's Day...for those "freaky" couples. Lol

Yeah.

Well if your brother ever tries to *beep* you, you let me know if you're horrified or not.

All I'm really saying is genres are never precise anyway(They are not really important, nor even real.), everyone will look at things slightly differently. Any film that perfectly slides into a genre is not much of a piece of art in the first place. Lines are constantly crossed no matter how people try to box films or anything else for that matter into categories. You may consider this film erotic, however a lot of people wouldn't find it erotic at all.

I also disagree about the Halloween comment. For some, this is a great Halloween film, for some others it won't fit.

No one looks at the world the same, there are entire films dedicated to this idea alone.

Because, after all, dimwitted OP, sex has never had much to do with horror movies, just like Passion Plays (that breeze you feel is this post going over your head) never had anything to do with creating legitimate theater, has it? Horror is the raison d'etre for the sex, just as writing a play that somehow, no matter how tangentially, referred to the birth of the Lord Jesus, was the raison d'etre to cause the Church to allow the play to be staged. Sheesh. IMdB really was populated by morons, in most cases, wasn't it?

The fact that people morph into killer black leopards that tear limbs off of their victims with the corresponding gore solidifies this as a horror flick. As for the nudity & sex, those are staples of hardcore horror flicks.

reply

It's definitely horror
