Cat People As A Date Movie

In my experience, women get turned on by this film.
I've seen it with several girlfriends, dates, etc.
You have to let them know in advance about the gore,
and it probably won't work with someone who is
totally repulsed by that aspect. Other ladies,
however, enjoy it as a sexy, tragic love story--which
it is--and seem to want to express their sexuality after
watching it.

Note: another sexy, tragic love story/horror movie,
The Fly, doesn't seem to have the same effect.

The Fly movie: flies are ugly. Just thinking kiss a giant fly is creepy!!! :D

Cat People: panthers are beautiful, dangerous and stylist and... Is a very antique concept, but i think suits the moment: women loves cats!!!

Also, Goldblum's character is changing as a personality, he is losing humanity not only in the way he looked, but he also became repulsive, rude, cruel. And it was progressive and irreversible. Cat people, however, not only became beautiful animals, but that was only a part of cycle which included being human, therefore gentle and tender again. And tenderness of cat's fur with tenderness of human soul makes a great combination.

There is something sensual about the way cats move... that being said, any movie with music by Howard Shore would work for me, so it depends on the chick, but I say: bring on the Brundle-fly.

The Fly had a lot of gross-out stuff. And no hot bondage scenes.

All the universe . . . or nothingness. Which shall it be, Passworthy? Which shall it be?

I agree. I took a date to that movie. Aftewards I drove her home and walked her to the door. Just before leaving I said in a fly's voice "help me, help me"..... I had to help myself that night.

This movie has a really strong sexual undertone or overtone however you
want to look at it.

i love this movie! i first saw it on tv when i was, like, 12 and it shocked and disturbed me, yet i always remembered it and as soon as i was old enough to rent it on video i watched it again and have loved it ever since...i took it to this chick's place when i was trying to get it on with her, she was a bit weirded out by it...hahaha but i still scored hahaha awesome, wicked movie...

I like to show this film to women too, because after words they usually let me tie them up, lol.

My body's a cage, it's been used and abused...and I...LIKE IT!!
