well, i LOVED this movie

this was one of my favourites as a child. We'd taped it off the TV when i was little and i used to watch it all the time. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, it was taped over some years later and I miss it terribly now that i'm older and feeling particularly nostalgic.

I wait in hope for that day that it will be screened again on television - maybe we'll see it one day as the saturday arvo viewing.

Yes, it is too bad that the Cartoon Network sold out and decided not to play the old Looney Tunes anymore. You can see how much thought was put behind them to entertain, although some of the cartoons are better than others.

The first time I saw this on TV I wasn't really thrilled by the fact that Bugs was being held against his will by Sam and his bratty son. I'd love to see Steve Wilkos, Judge Joe Brown, or Judge Judy yell at them for that. I also didn't like it that they never got their just desserts at the end. However, seeing it again years later I did enjoy seeing some of the old cartoons again, although they did cut some things to fit the story, which is what they always do anyway. Also, don't you feel Daffy is a bit of a prick here, especially at the end with a reprise of him pushing Bugs down into the hole saying, "It's mine! Down! Down! Get back in there!" No wonder he doesn't get the respect in Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

I like it very much too. I've always loved Looney Tunes and just watching cartoons like One Froggy Evening, Ali Baba Bunny and Red Riding Hoodwinked was a real delight. This film is uneven, but it was enjoyable, with a good premise, excellent voice work and a fine selection of cartoons.
