The film seems very dated when you watch it now, and the acting isnt up to much either, and i wasnt surprised to find it in a collection of 50 DVDs of films that flopped that came with my DVD player, a good night in watching RIOT and DARK SIDE OF THE SUN......<sighs>

And I guess for "kind" you mean: "unecessary and watered-down adaptation of a Dennis Potter play" kind.
Well, there are very few so you might be right.
