a good movie. worthy of cult status!

for such a good movie that is worthy of cult status it's sad to see very few posts on here.

I think most people have missed this little gem, which is a shame...

Hi, just came across the attached. Have no other reason to contact you other than that your comments on IMDB suggested you would be interested! It's a production of Brimstone & Treacle in London in July and August - apparently the first largescale production of it in London since its opening there in 1979! It sounds pretty damned good and I'll be trying to get along myself!

Thank you for your info on the B and T productions but saddly I Don't get out of the States that much. I bet it is a great production and I hope you enjoy it. "IN ZOD WE TRUST."

Oh yes, definitely. I just got finished posting on another thread here that this is certainly a CLASSIC, if something so ignored for decades can be called a classic. There is so much taboo in it. I think that has got to be the only reason it has not gotten a following. It's so incredibly well made, the acting is fantastic, the cinematography is superb, the music is awesome, Sting is great, the plot exceeding unique. Amazing.

I really enjoyed this movie and the role suited Sting where he has been pretty awful in other movies (though I did like him in Dune too). Since it started life as a stage play the dialogue and characters are well formed and I enjoyed pondering just who or what Sting/Martin is. Plus the ambiguous ending. Elliot and Plowright, just great British talent. I have the 'graphic novel' of it home.
