on amazon its 149 dollars for a dvd copy that according to the reviews posted on its site looks like a poorly dubbed vhs copy onto dvd.

I got a VHS copy today. Movie Gallery was selling a lot of old VHS, two for a dollar. Got five other movies too, totallying $3.00

shareThe prices people are charging for DVDs that are basically just duped from VHS is insane, but the fact that people actually buy them is crazier. I paid a buck for this at a video store. It's a very entertaining film that deserves a higher rating. 7/10 stars.
shareYeah, a shame about the DVD. The whole packaging is rather lackluster, which is especially disappointing given that it's released by Image Entertainment, who had been otherwise historically good film purists and purveyors of quality at the height of the laserdisc boom in the 90's. This DVD has ludicrous, unrelated artwork that looks like it's from some other film and a master that's clearly drawn from a murky PAL VHS master. Thankfully, we do get a fairly informative interview with Lommel, which is a pleasant surprise. But otherwise, that DVD is bargain bin quality at best.
