shareAm I mistaken, or was THE BORDER rated X when it was first released? I look at it now and I can't imagine what would make it X-rated, but I have the same reaction to MIDNIGHT COWBOY, which seems damn near PG-13 by today's standards. Anyone else remember this movie being an X?

Iremember some kind of controversy but don't remember what it was about. For me the content was hard to take but the worst thing was the female nudity flaunted in the night club in Mexico. I saw it on TV so something besides that had to be what gave it the rating it had.
