Official Release Sucks!

A while back I downloaded a copy of this film since it's so impossible to find. However, upon checking the quality, I decided against actually watching it...it was poor resolution, the red text was running together and the sound wasn't very good. I really wanted to see it, so I knew it would be worth it to wait for this "official release" from BCI. Damn was I disappointed. Not only was it a crappy Fullscreen transfer, but it HAD to be the FREAKING SAME VERSION I DOWNLOADED! It had minor pixelization, the red text ran together (with some "ghosting") and it appeared to have the EXACT SAME sound issues! It seems like BCI just went and downloaded an .avi version that they re-converted for their "master print". Terrible, terrible print. However, I gave in and watched it because now I know that NO ONE cares enough about this film to give it a decent release. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed ALL of these cool BCI "Grindhouse Experience"/"Exploitation Cinema" double features, but this had to be the worst release (quality wise) from them I've seen on these. Too bad because it was such a great film...I loved the ending!

BCI, it seems, always uses the same masters on various versions of DVD releases.

It's just the way they do things, man.

They got it from a VHS. Two or three times I saw the lines run up the screen, that you only get with VHS. I'm just glad I finally saw this movie. It was pretty damn good and put alot of movies of this type from this time period to shame.

Read the trivia guys, the original film negatives are lost or destroyed, They had to use the vhs version.
