The home of J.F. Sebastian (mechanical elevators) is visitable

I'd been there myself, years ago in Los Angeles. Its called The Bradbury Building, and it's in downtown.

You can just walk in. It's beautiful. Like the movie, it's sort of abandoned (well it was in 2011). Not many tenancies.

LAPD Internal Affairs have been the principle tenants, at least since the building was purchased & renovated by Yellin Co in the last 80s.

It was on fire during the LA Riots on Wednesday night, the first night. But thankfully didn't burn down.

Theyve used that building in a ton of movies and shows over the years...thx

Yeah and the old Los Angeles train station as well, that was in the movie and is used a lot. A friend brought me there and he told me and I said “I’ve never noticed this place” but after going there I notice it all the time.

Love this behind the scenes stuff and i did not know that..
Ill google the train station for sure...
Thx Intothenight!!

It’s called ‘Central Station Los Angeles’. The scene where Deckard first is called in to the office is shot there.

Much obliged!

reply

Cool - thanks! The scenes inside were gorgeous.

Sure is. Most people think Downtown Los Angeles is boring, but if you like visiting where movies were shot there are lots of places you'll recognise from movies. I like 'The Bonaventure Hotel' with the external elevators. It's used in so many movies, including In The Line of Fire and Last Action Hero.
