'The Big Sleep' Connection

The scene where Deckard goes to locker room of that snake lady dance and uses nasal voice to impersonates someone else reminded me of the scene of 'The Big Sleep' where Marlowe does some kind of voice in book store.

Given the Noir influence of BR, could this be conscious reference to the old classic? I didn't find it mentioned in IMDB connections section for either film, so maybe someone should add it...

It took me three or four viewings of "Blade Runner" until I was reminded of the first book store scene in "The Big Sleep". When I noticed the similarity I thought, "wow, how didn't I see this before?"

While I cannot say for certain how much of an influence the film noir classic had on "Blade Runner", I have seen others make a number of comparisons between the two films. With that said, I'm positive the scene with Deckard pretending to be someone else and using a nasally voice was a direct nod to/inspired by TBS.
