I haven't seen this movie in 25 years and forgot how entertaining it is. Taking away all of the moral and ethical issues and enjoying it for what it is which is a comedy and musical you can't help but smile throughout the whole movie.

I had the album when the movie came out and I was surprised that I was singing along to all of the songs! Lol

Dolly and Burt were at their best and they both had great chemistry. When dolly sings hard candy Xmas and I will always love u(yes that one way before Whitney!) tell me u don't tear up.

I am going to iTunes and see if they have this.

Give it a try you will like it!

Being that the network broadcasts in old-fashioned standard-def, I'd hoped that they would be airing the old television cut with Reynolds' song "Where Stallions Run" and alternate footage which replaced various nude shots. Nope, I guess that version's been relegated to the vaults since I last saw it on the USA network in 2001. Cozi's airing an edited version of the theatrical cut, and they've digitally added underwear onto several people (including a butt on the back of a jockstrap during "The Aggie Song"). Weird.
