A Racist Movie?

The film is sometimes accused of bowing to then-current racial attitudes by showing the sole black football player dancing with Ruby Rae, the sole black prostitute. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

reply

But there was only one black prostitute! Who else was he gonna pick?!

"Dadinho é o CARALHO! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno PORRA!"

reply

He was not obligated to pick the Black prostitute. If I was paying for sex I might want someone from outside my own race. Some people pay for sex because they enjoy variety.

I'm a white dude, and Ruby Rae would have been my first or 2nd choice. She was hot!

reply

I am a white guy and also like Ruby Rae. Melanie Winter as Ginger was my favorite. She was well put together.

reply

I've always wondered who the other Black football player was with...there were TWO black football players. You can see them standing together when they come into the house.

I Love....ME!!!!

reply

How does that make it racist? If 2 people of the same race get married, does that make it racist as well?

In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.
