ONLY a 5.7? WTF?

What the hell????

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. At one point this was the most requested movie on cable TV and it only has a 5.7. What up with that?!

Get on the chew pipe!

Well hopefully it keeps going up than down. Its still better rating then on RT. But do we expect from a website that gave Spaceballs a 51%.

I loved this as a kid.

My cousin loved it even more than me. It was his "Star Wars".

Beastmaster was my cousin's favorite movie when he was a kid.

Don't take it so hard. It's IMDB.

Said it a million times: people either -get- a genre or they shouldn't be even try to rank it.

Who was it who said 'Likes got nothin' to do with it.'?

reply

I know, I'm amazed it Isn't lower!

reply

it could of been better
needed a better story/less chessyness/more darker/better acting
more energy/more cinemacy

its rated "PG" with violence and good amount of female nudity...??

The Sword-and-Sorcery fantasy genre does not get much general respect, though it is far and away my favorite narrative format. I think many dismiss it out of hand and never look into its charms; yet many of these same people will go apeshit over a tale of Superman going up against a magical antagonist against whom his superpowers are useless, like Mr. Mxyezptlk. And let’s face it: Star Wars is Sword and Sorcery to advantage dress’d. The Jedi powers? The light sabers? C’mon.

People just look down their noses at impossibly fit heroes and heroines running around in animal skins, thrusting with enormous phallic symbols. Y’know, the kind of hero who can slice those elevated noses clean off in a heartbeat.

That's definitely an insult for this fantastic, hugely entertaining movie. At least it's up to 6.2 now. I'd say it should be at least a 7. I give it an 8. This movie was huge for a good 10 years straight!!
