There was a time when you couldn't turn on the TV without seeing Dar. It's how these movies became cult classics, little kids falling in love with them and carrying it into adulthood! But that's no longer the case, and it's not on Netflix either, or in the $5 bin at Walmart. So I'm jonesing for some Beastmaster! I may have to bite the bullet and buy the darned thing on Amazon:(

shareExactly; I came here because I'm watching it too. Loved this flick when I was a kid. Have probably seen it over 100 times. Back in the early '80's when VCRs just hit the market, my cousin had the first one of anybody I knew. And Beastmaster was one of the first movies he got. We'd watch it everytime I went over. At least twice a month. Would love to see a BluRay release complete with commentary and extensive extras.
shareThere aren't any stations that are currently cool enough to air awesome movies like this anymore. Jamie Kellner came to TNT/TBS and killed both stations by turning them into "high profile" channels. In the process he killed what was cool about those channels (Beastmaster, Conan, Krull, Top Gun, Rocky Marathons, Rambo Marathons, Monstervision, WCW and a zillion other things that gave those stations their identity) and in the process he cost the stations their number one and number three cable viewership spots and neither station has ever recovered.
