Movie time during lunch in junior high

During the 8th grade, they would show movies, like 25 minutes at a time so it was like one movie a week. we would all gather around the TV and watch movies.

Man, when we heard Beatsmaster was playing, the crowd was twice as big. because we all wanted to see Tanya Robert's tits! Remember, this was 1983, so porn was hard to come by. But the day she was bathing, the crowd was super huge and the vice principal thought there was a fight as the crowd had gotten really big around the TV. Then he saw what we were watching. We kept rewinding it a bunch of times. until the vice principal made us let it keep playing

I kindly and fondly remember watching 'El Señor de las Bestias' (The Beastmaster) as one of the first movie experiences in my life, at my primary school conference hall in Bilbao, Spain. I should have been around 8 years old. And I say movie because it was film projected, I think in a 4/3 screen and with film-speckles and pops and clicks in sound, and a change of reel for the roaring audience. It was 30 years ago but I remember well.

We were all flabbergasted and enjoying with the eagles, the eye-ring, Marc Singer, the ferrets and the hands around the red pot. It was a perfect movie for children, the first for us many: adventure, sword and sorciers, the music. I remember us cheering up when the ferrets save the day (and when they kiss). We wouldn't have enjoyed as much if it was 'Conan' or 'Indiana Jones', which were more for adults and we wouldn't have understood.

All I know is that I experienced the pure magic of cinema among my classmates, without the teacher, cheering like mad, in awe for some great entertainment in a first class gate to cinema.

I'm totally shocked that a SCHOOL would allow this movie to be shown!!! It should have been rated R, even then.

Yeah, me too. I mean the violence is one thing, but it had boobies. The former would easily be shrugged off by all but the most uptight teacher or parent, but surely someone had to notice there are naked breasts in the film.

When I was in junior high we went on a field trip to see Where the river runs black, and there are breasts in it, but as I recall they're native breasts and the film is artsy-fartsy so it got a pass.

I'm not talking about the violence, as it wasn't very graphic. The nudity, however, was. One has nothing to do with the other.

Sounds like you had some pretty irresponsible teachers.

Oh gawd, another PC liberal reminding everyone why modern times are such a drag to live in. Fyi, snowflake, back in the 80's people weren't nearly as uptight or offended over the sight of BREASTS. Now go set yourself on fire, libtard.
