Best lines in the movie!

The line that really caught me and caused me to crack up a lot is when the guy is walking toward Uncle Carl with a snorkle, some goggles, and flippers on and then says to Uncle Carl, "I am going muff diving!" LOL Great line! I am sure there are other great lines if I paid attention to the movie.

Yes I have to agree with you about that because I can remember those commercials. It ran for like I believe 2-5 years that they used it and then they stopped using that line in the commercials.

The reference to the Dr. Pepper commercials made me laugh.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

reply

That is great that the reference to the Dr. Pepper commercials was great. Those were the good old days when the cost of living was not that expensive compared to now, it was a lot cheaper to buy groceries compared to now, and gas was cheap also.

Yes the 80's were stress free compared to how things are now. Things are way too expensive now!

I can remember when gas was 59 cents a gallon. My mom says that when I was a kid in the 70s we could get plenty of groceries to last a week for our family of four for 10 or 15 dollars. What can you get for 10 or 15 dollars these days? not much.

reply

You are correct about that! They showed recently on Facebook on what you could buy groceries for $20 I believe in the late 80's, 90's, and up until now. It was interesting to see.

I could remember in 2000 it would cost me about $75 to $100 of groceries and it would last me a month. Now I have to pay double that to feed me.

Yup, my mother used to do the same. Hell, even going to McDonald's is expensive now, I pay as much as $13 and it's not as good as it used to be either.
I also miss when TV dinners were served in alluminum trays, just seemed tastier.
