French French Connection

I think this film is the French attempt to create their own French Connection (1971). And it is a rather realistic and gritty portrayal of police procedures and tough police men. Overall it's quite enjoyable. But some supposedly funny parts were a bit on the stupid side - like the crook being thrown into a dust bin. Could have been better if they had resisted the need to mix the serious stuff with jokes.
