Does anybody even like the other versions of Annie?

This is definitely the only version of Annie that I liked. I think it had the best cast.

The Disney version really tried but I don't think they had a good budget. The best part in that version is the song: "I Don't Need Anything But You" with Alicia Morton. It has to be the cutest scene in movie history. Anyhow overall I agree this one's better although Disney was more faithful to the play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ha6yXvp-m7o

1982 is the best and most definitive film version of the character.

It's not 100% faithful to the Broadway play but that's because legendary director John Huston chose to be faithful to Harold Gray's original comic strip in places where the 1977 Broadway play was not.

I do. Each has its positives. This Annie is special. I also have found I adore the Annie(2014). For me it has spunk, heart and fun yet also very touching and endearing. I love love the new song opportunity and I feel Annie is fortunate to have it.

This is my favorite version, though there's something to be said for Kathy Bates as Hannigan and Kristin Chenoweth as Lily. Plus the 1999 version was closer to the original Broadway musical. I didn't like the most recent version. It was too far from either the original play or the 1982 movie. Plus Tracie Thoms was in it but didn't sing, and to me that's a sin.

The 2014 version is better.

It's that man again!!
