This is the first film I saw at the cinema

As far back as I can remember, this is the first film I went to see at the cinema, and my father took me. I would have been about 5 or 6 years old. It's an interesting little film and I love that cute little electronic song at the end.

I reckon this film would benefit greatly from a really classy remake with a few extra sub-plots thrown in there.

I noticed in the credits that "Jim Cameron" was a design consultant, turns out it's the same James Cameron who did Terminator.

If a remake is made, I'd like to see Max and Cass reach Earth and see the look on their faces.

This movie was great. I still have it on video. Not a very good copy, but I still every once in awhile take it out and watch it. This along with Dark Star is the one of the reasons I started collecting movies. At first hard to find old films then cult movies. I started my collection back in 81. I now have close to three thousands films on video and about 500 on DVD. My collecting started too slow down quit a bit when I started raising a family. But not my love of film.

That's a lot of films you have collected!

I also have a VHS copy of Android, pretty poor quality but watchable.

I am also a huge fan of Dark Star, it is one of my most ever favorite films.

I have a couple of extra Video machines so as to make sure that I will have a machine to watch my videos in case one machine goes. No telling how much longer they will be making video players. As a recovering Alcoholic and drug abuser, (I quit 29 years ago) collecting movies helped me in the beginning to stay clean and sober. You do what it takes. After a couple of years in the beginning of my collecting days I realized how much I really apericated film making of all types.
