1982 is the year that IMDB has nominated as the year of production for this film.

But if you go on to Brazilian sites that have an interest in XUXA, the year of production is 1979.

The reason i am pointing this out, is that XUXA was born in 1963. So if the film was made in 1979, XUXA would have been only 16.

Funny that Brazilian sites just do not push the issue of this movie. Could you imagine if it was a star from a western country. She would have been crucified by the media

This is very interesting. Maybe a sixteen-year-old being in such a scene with a twelve-year-old isn't considered as controversial.

Yeah, and Marcelo Ribeiro would have been NINE.

The big controversy in Brazil is not even about the ages, but the fact that it's Xuxa who went on to make a living out of entertaining children :)

I have never actually seen a birth date for Marcelo Ribeiro.

IMDB doesnt have one. It does say 1970 , but that looks like an educated guess. He looks about 11 or 12

There is this article, dated July 17, 2007, which says that he was 12 in the film and that he was 38 at the time of the article. That means he was likely born in the first half of 1969.
