Evil Feeling

This may not be a super intense horror but something about this movie just feels dirty and evil. The music, camera work, jerky special effects, incest plot, super dysfunctional family. All that combined with the creepy atmosphere of 70s early 80s film in general. Something ingrained in this movie makes it just all around unsettling. However campy it may be it has an underlying evil to it.

This film did have a dirty feel to it. Spot on! Good film though, and I think dirtiness is what the directors were trying to go for. They certainly succeeded. It really conveyed the influence the house was supposed to have on the family.
