Deleted scenes

I've seen a few lobby cards from this movie that consist of scenes not shown in the movie. There's a pic of Anthony in front of the house pointing a rifle while sitting in a chair. There's a lobby card of Jan pushing mark's head under the water while he's in the tub, and the trailer shows the 2 holding hands while it's raining in the house . It's probably from when the priest is looking for Sonny before finding him upstairs. I'm surprised these scenes have not yet been released, especially on the blu-ray box set that just came out.

I read that there was originally a rape scene between the husband & wife that they decided not to include (wisely) but I don't know if they actually filmed it or just chucked that part of the script.

Just stumbled across those lobby cards on eBay for like $70. I Didn't think much of it until I realized that I didn't recognize any of the scenes shown on the cards. Anyone have any info on the deleted scenes for this movie? I hate that they would release a new Blu Ray without adding neat stuff like this.

You can watch Rutanya Alda being interviewed on Youtube about this film. She said preview audiences didn't like some scenes, so they were cut from the released version.

I just watched that interview. She said there was more on the relationship between the brother and sister and there was a scene where the husband raped her. These were filmed, but not included in the final cut. Too bad they weren't included as extras on the blu-ray. It'd be interesting to see those scenes.
