Both the Amityvilles (1 and 2) should be in the 9.0s i rated them both 10 but the sequel was better it was disturbing and scary

Agreed. I like the second one most because of the real horror involved and unique possession scenes.

Amityville 2 is fun to watch but no way should it be scored higher!

All the Amityville's suck so much apart from the first one.

This is the only decent Amityville movie, the first was ok but was slow and boring.

The IMDb rating for this movie is farcical. Yes, it's cheesy in places, yes, the acting is hammy in places, but it has some absolutely terrifying moments if you let your mind wander into *that* territory.

I gave both of them an 8/10, and while I liked this sequel, I still think the original was better (it was much creepier).

Eh...it's a flawed film.

I'd not go any higher than a 7. Even that is a bit generous.
